Guy and Ice

You and I both knew
and that's what
makes it so hard,
because now it seems
as if the past tense
should stay, that
you forgot when
you went away
and you don't have
much left to say,
and partly it's
my fault, because
I went, too, and
maybe that made
it seem like
I no longer cared, too,
but the trouble is,
I do,
but I'm starting
to wonder
if I should.
